Name

The name of a card is in the upper-left corner of a card.

The name of a card is what defines everything on a card. If a card has been misprinted or otherwise altered, refer to the name of the card and find an unaltered copy. The altered copy should be played as if it was an unaltered copy.

Example: A Female card called "Next in Line" has a cost of F.pngF.png. A printing error has caused a copy of the card to display the cost as H.pngH.png. The card must be played as if it didn't have any error on it. The player must pay F.pngF.png to play it. It is still a Female card.

If a skill needs a player to name a card, he or she must name a Furoticon card name.

Cost

The cost is in the upper-right corner of a card.

The number in front of the paw is the (Action Point) AP cost.

Each gender symbol below that is a cost of 1 GP (Gender Point) of that gender.

The letter X is an AP cost that allows you to pay any amount of AP that you have. The number X will do something on the card.

AP may not be used to pay for GP costs and GP may not be used to pay for AP costs.

The gender of a card is defined by the GP symbols in the cost, regardless of the color of the card or the genders of any characters in the artwork. Cards with no GP symbols have no gender.

The total cost is the total of GP plus AP found in the upper-right corner of the card. A card that costs 5.pngF.pngF.png has a total cost of 7.

Type

The card type is found below the name of a card.

The card type defines how it is played. The four types of cards in Furoticon are Haven, Furre, Treat, and Action.

Some cards have a defining type, which either sets a value on the card or changes the way the card is played.

"Alteration" is a defining type found on Treats. An Alteration is "attached" to another object when it comes into play. If the object it is attached to leaves play, so does the Alteration.

"Home" is a defining type found on Havens. A player may have any number of Home Haven cards in his or her deck.

"Surprise" is a defining type found on Actions. A Surprise may be played whenever its owner can react.

The following 37 defining types are all found on Furres. They are also known as Furre types. There are no specific rules to follow with these types. Other cards, however, may interact with them: Avian, Badger, Bat, Bovine, Canine, Construct, Deer, Demon, Dragon, Equine, Feline, Ferret, Fox, Jackal, Kangaroo, Lapine, Lemur, Lion, Lizard, Merfolk, Minotaur, Monkey, Mustelid, Naga, Otter, Pachyderm, Raccoon, Rat, Reptile, Rodent, Satyr, Sergal, Shapeshifter, Skunk, Squirrel, Tiger, Ursine and Wolf.

If a type or defining type is changed through gameplay, the change replaces the original, unless otherwise specified by the effect.

If a player needs to choose a type or defining type, the player must choose one that exists in the game.

A card may have more than one defining type.

Artwork

The artwork of a card is on the upper half of a card, and may extend down into the Rules Box and Credit Box.

The artwork is there to showcase an artist's talent, and to encourage sharing of cards. Artwork is the foundation of Furoticon.

SP / Max SP

Max SP and SP are found only on Furre Cards. Max SP is on the lower left side of the card, appearing as a number to the left of the heart symbol. SP is derived from this value.

Max SP is short for Maximum Stamina Points. When a Furre comes into play, it comes into play with SP equal to its Max SP. A Furre cannot have more SP than its Max SP.

SP is short for Stamina Points. A Furre with 0 Stamina Points orgasms, is removed from play, and is put onto it's owner's couch (discard pile). When a Furre is pleasured, it loses SP.

The symbol for SP is Sp.png. When it appears in the rules box by itself, it is referring to SP. When it appears as "Max Sp.png," it is referring to Max SP.

PEs

PE stands for Pleasuring Experience.

PEs are found only on Furre Cards. They are on the lower left side of the card, below Max SP.

A Furre Card has four PEs: One for each gender. These values define how much pleasure a Furre gives to each gender when it gives pleasure. Furres with a PE of 0 do not give pleasure, even if chosen to give pleasure.

Rarity Symbol

The set symbol, collector's number and rarity color are in the bottom right of a card.

The rarity color shows what rarity value the card has. Gold means rare, green means uncommon, gray means common, and light blue means starter-only (can only be found in a starter deck). The rarity symbol has no effect on gameplay.

Rules Box

The rules box is above the credit box and below the artwork.

The rules box contains a card's skills. It may also contain reminder text and flavor text.

Reminder text is italicized and in parenthesis next to skill text. It serves to remind the player how to use a keyword or other text.

Flavor text is italicized and is at the bottom of the Rules Box. It has no effect on gameplay,

Rules text that refers to the name of the card or object its on refers only to that card or object. It never refers to any copies of the card name, unless otherwise specified on the card (e.g. "...and all copies of the named card...").

Credit Box

The credit box is at the bottom of a card, below the rules box.

The credit box contains the artist's name and website. All items in the credit box have no effect on gameplay. Although much effort is made to try to keep up-to-date information, the accuracy of website URLs can only be guaranteed at the time of printing.
