Introduction
Furoticon is an adults-only anthro novelty card game. Its release date is July 1, 2009. Cards are available for purchase online, or at select furry conventions, such as Anthrocon. Gaming events are also held at such conventions.
In Furoticon, you play as a well-renowned Owner (Master, Mistress, Mastress, or Dominator) dueling against one or more Owners for dominance over your opponents' harems. Break through their harems with your own and climax your opponents! The last Owner standing is the winner!
The name Furoticon is short for the Furry Erotic Congregation (FEC). The FEC is a fictional group that organizes and sanctions sexual competitions or duels for entertainment and wagering. It has come under criticism of the acts it promotes, but it has also been praised for its safe execution and control of its content.
There is no rape in Furoticon. All actions are consensual, and a competitor can concede at any time.
Each competitor, also known as an Owner, is allowed a black book of 40 pages, with each page detailing one of the following:
- A member of the Owner's harem
- A place the Owner is familiar with
- An object the Owner is allowed to use
- A skill the Owner knows
Anything that is not in the Owner's black book is illegal to use in the competition or duel.
Concept to Cards
Each player of Furoticon takes on the role of an Owner, dueling in the FEC. The black book is a player's 40-card deck, which he or she uses to play the game.
Decks can be customized with cards that the player has purchased or traded to improve his or her deck.
Furoticon exists to introduce people to artists they may not have known about before. Artist credit and URL is found at the bottom of every card to encourage people to explore the artists of Furoticon.
A game of Furoticon tends to take a few minutes longer than it takes to play other card games. This is because longer games provide more opportunity for fun, and they favor the better player, instead of depending significantly on luck of the draw. There are quick-play game variations available.
